The following must be completed and turned in by the scheduled dates over the course of working on the project.
Investigation Proposal
• Complete the Investigation Proposal worksheet and have it reviewed and approved before beginning your project. This proposal outlines what you will do to conduct your investigation.
Abstract (200 word maximum - strictly enforced)
• Abstracts present the essential elements of a longer work in a short and powerful statement. When preparing to draft your abstract, keep the following key process elements in mind:
Research Notebook
• A lab notebook is an important part of any research or engineering project. Used properly, your lab notebook contains a detailed and permanent account of every step of your project, from the initial brainstorming to the final data analysis and research report.
Investigation Report
• High school students are required to write an individual investigation centered around the following three questions. See the rubric for grading specifics.
Physical Display
• In most cases you will use a standard, three-panel display board that unfolds to be 36" tall by 48" wide.
